Striving To Be "Christ-Like"!

I just want to praise the Lord for giving me another day. I want to thank Him for teaching me to speak life, healing, and restoration into my life everyday... no matter how hard the journey gets. It's beautiful now to me, how God brought me through a lot of hard times that have taught me how to completely rely on Him and to become oblivious to the drama of this world. The toughness of life and times of isolation have taught me how to be completely God dependent. It is a beautiful thing when you realize that the struggles and ugliness of life teaches you how to become so focused on God that you can learn not to be consumed with anxieties and fears. The truth is that no one is alone. There is a God who is real and loves us more than anything this world can offer. Oh let me tell you, I have battled serious bouts with depression, anxiety, and health issues. I've batted a lot of sickness just this year. We may all be fighting something in our Christian walk, but this is what the Lord spoke to me clearly tonight: "You must walk with Me saith the Lord of Hosts. Walk only with Me, walk even as I walk, and let nothing or no one cause you to stray from the course I have you on says God. Stay on the straight and narrow path that will lead you home to live with Me for all eternity, saith the Lord of Hosts."  I don't care how good it sounds or looks to you, if it doesn't line up with the Word of God, then you better leave it on the side of the road and keep walking the straight and narrow way. The enemy drops enticing things along our path, but it's imperative to keep your spiritual eyes and spiritual ears focused on and tuned to what saith the Lord, so you're not distracted and drug off the straight and narrow path! The enemy is sly as a fox; he is sneaky and full of schemes and distractions. Guard your heart and mind in these days we are living in.

"The pressure is on from the world, but I have overcome the world saith the Lord. Be of good cheer and look toward Me my children. Don’t look at what you see here, but look at what is beyond. Don't focus on things seen, but focus on things unseen says God. I hold you in the palm of My hand, and I will take care of you. I will be with you through it all. I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Trust in Me, and lean not on your own understanding. I will lead you onward, but you've got to trust Me. Again, I will take care of you saith the Lord of Hosts." • God's leading His children closer home to Him for all eternity... we've just got to keep trusting Him, walking with Him, and looking to Him.

There are many things that God knows of which we have no understanding of at all, and that's why His word tells us to lean not on our own understanding. Last night, on into today, God has been reminding me, as His scripture says, to trust Him with all my heart and lean not on my understanding. And, He is here walking right by my side through it all. God has a perfect way, a perfect plan, and a perfect time. He will not be rushed, even when we are ready for something to change. So let me encourage you tonight to trust the process and trust in Him in the middle of whatever you may be facing this hour. He sees the questions, struggles, discouragement, and disheartenment you're going through. He will bring you the answers, strength, comfort, and peace you need in His time!  Psalm 27:14 "Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD."
