A Battle In Your Mind!
Everyday can be a battle, everyday can be a challenge, and everyday the enemy can try to get in your (my) mind. You know it doesn't matter how close you are to God or how long you've been living for Him... the enemy is still going to attack you; you are on his radar!! There are a lot of nights I have to wake up and fight the enemy and pray the enemy out of my room. The last couple of days I've really had to fight him, but you know how I get through it?! I have to purpose myself to pray and praise my way through (and out of) it. The Lord can give me dreams, but the enemy sure can too. This morning I was awaken from one of those disturbing dreams where the enemy was trying to cause disunity, disruption, discontent, and discord between myself and people I dearly love. That is what he wants, but I woke up and begin rebuking him and praying. The last couple of days haven't been easy, but you want to know why ...because the enemy wants to shut me up and shut me down; he wants to do the same thing to you too. I've fought through alot of thoughts that I know are straight from the pits of hell. You want to know why the enemy is attacking now more than ever, because he knows that his time is running out. I'm sharing this with you to let you know, if you're battling in your mind don't you dare sit down and let it marinate. You push through it, you pray through it, and you praise through it. I have to take those thoughts captive quickly that aren't of God and send them back to hell where they belong (see 2nd Corinthians 10:5). The enemy wants to weaken and maim Christians, especially the faithful and strong ones, now more than ever. The enemy sends out his workers everyday to try and steal your peace and joy; your spirit and healing; your faith and soul. The enemy will also throw things back up in your face that have long ago been under the blood of Jesus; he is tricky and sly like that. The word of God says that satan comes only to kill, steal, and destroy but Jesus comes to give you life more abundantly. The enemy doesn't want you content with life; he wants you to lay your head down in his lap while he rocks you to sleep. You better wake up and push through all that junk the devil throws at you, if you're going to make it through with the Lord. Let me encourage you with this post, to keep turning to the Lord and make an effort to spend time with Him!
