There are hours when everything around us seems designed to pull our attention away from God. Troubles become louder. Fear tries to settle into our hearts. The works of the enemy seem more visible than the work of God.
But I feel the Holy Spirit reminding God's children in this hour: "Do not fear. Turn your eyes back to Me, saith the Lord of Hosts".
God's Word tells us, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest... For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28, 30)
Some of us have been carrying burdens that God never intended for us to carry alone. We have been staring at the trouble, analyzing the circumstances, watching what the enemy is doing, and wondering how everything is going to work out. But God is calling us to change our focus.
• Don't look at your troubles—look to Jesus.
• Don't focus on the enemy—focus on the One who has already defeated him.
• Don't concentrate on what you see happening around you—remember Who is standing with you.
Hebrews 12:2 tells us to be “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.”
There is a reason the enemy wants your attention. If he can keep your eyes fixed on the storm, you may forget the One who has authority over it. If he can keep you consumed with fear, you may overlook what God is doing right in front of you.
But this is not the hour to retreat.
° This is the hour to persevere.
° This is the hour to pray without ceasing.
° This is the hour to stand on the Solid Rock.
° This is the hour to keep your eyes on Jesus.
Isaiah 41:10 gives us a promise: “I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
God hasn't lost control. He hasn't forgotten His children. He is still our peace, our protection, our strength, and our covering.
There may be things happening that you don't understand right now, but don't allow fear to cause you to miss what God has for you in this season.
• Keep praying.
• Keep believing.
• Keep persevering.
• Keep looking to Jesus.
There is joy found in His presence that circumstances cannot take away. There is peace that the world cannot manufacture. There is strength available when ours is gone.
So when fear whispers, look to Jesus.
When the burden becomes heavy, look to Jesus.
When the enemy seems busy, look to Jesus.
When you don't know what tomorrow holds, look to Jesus.
And when everything around you tells you to be afraid, remember Who you are standing on.
You are standing on the Solid Rock. Don't miss what God is doing because you're too focused on what the enemy is doing. Turn your face and your eyes back toward Him.

Suggested Prayer:
"Dear Lord, help me to take my eyes off the trouble around me and place them completely upon You. When fear tries to enter my heart, remind me that You are with me. Strengthen me to persevere and to pray without ceasing. Help me not to become so focused on the works of the enemy that I miss Your hand moving in my life. Give me Your peace, renew my strength, and help me stand firmly upon the Solid Rock. Whatever this hour brings, I choose to keep looking unto Jesus. Amen."
