Church Was Never Meant to Stay Inside Four Walls!

We ended up having church at the local small town restaurant during open mic Gospel karaoke night a couple of weeks ago. I decided to be a part of it and sung three songs. It was a two hour service full of praise and fellowship. The Holy Spirit really ministered. A devotion stirred within me that night as I headed home.

"Church Was Never Meant to Stay Inside Four Walls"!

The church was never meant to be boxed into a building. We are the Church.

Jesus said, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” — Matthew 18:20

We can gather in a sanctuary, around a kitchen table, in a restaurant, in a hospital room, at work, in a parking lot, or standing beside someone who desperately needs prayer. God’s presence is not confined to a building.

The building is where the Church gathers, but the world is where the Church is called to go.

So gather together. Worship together. Grow together. Share hope. But when you walk out of those church doors, take Jesus with you. You just never know when and where the Lord will need you step out and minister to someone and be ministered to in return.

Don’t just go to church—BE the Church!!
