The One Who Is Present!

This week, I wrote on my calendar that for us in Alabama, May 17th would be 9 weeks we couldn't meet in a church building. As well as 9 weeks of basically being home bound. Today, with the latest governor's press conference release, that has changed. I went to bed last night knowing that God is bigger, and He would have a say in when things would start slowly opening back up to reach a point of somewhat normalcy again... not everyone will agree, but guess what you still have the freedom to stay home. Some churches have packed sanctuaries and maybe they can't safely socially distance and still won't be able to open up, yet God is still bigger. Some churches may still decide to do virtual services or drive in services. If you feel in your heart being in a church service is what you need, don't be afraid to join in with another church where you can safely socially distance. I'm thankful for the ways we've still been spiritually fed during this. I've enjoyed listening to church services across several states. I've enjoyed the drive in services that I've joined in during this time, and I will be a part of one again this Sunday... because we've still got to assemble on church property and praise His name together in person... it has reminded me how we all need to be in this together. There should never be any competition when it comes to church. Also, since March 15th the Holy Spirit has reminded me to only keep my focus on what thus saith the Lord of Hosts regarding what was coming with this virus pandemic, and I've been faithful to do that. With that has come much peace and protection He's freely given to me. If you still don't feel safe about getting out, it's your right to stay home but don't waste your breath and run your blood pressure up arguing over it. Alabama is opening churches, restaurants, salons, and gyms on May 11th... but with social distancing guidelines (i.e. 50% capacity for restaurants, 6 ft apart rule), meaning that we are to still use caution. I believe our governor trusts the citizens, and as a Christian I trust God. I believe God honors faith, but God also instructs us to be wise and that's where the moving forward still with caution and guidelines comes into play. I do believe this is the ultimate test of faith and trust in God. I see God do His best work when we lay it all down, and let His perfect will play out. God, You are Jehovah Shammah, the One who is present with us... now send Your Holy angels to encamp around us to protect us, and then warring angels to fight on our behalf in Jesus name. There is victory in His name! Again, we haven't lived in times like this, oh but God changes not! Listen to His Word alone! ♡

In Christ,
Kimberly McDaniel
