Peace, Peace Wonderful Peace!
Today was just the most amazing feeling of peace I have had. The birds were singing beautifully, not worried about where their food was coming from, the sky was beautiful, the sun was warm on my face, and just looking at the beauty of our land you wouldn't think a worldwide virus pandemic was still going on, everything seemed so at ease, so quite and peaceful, which my mama and I discussed in that moment.
*And, when the news came on the TV this evening something caught my attention, as well as my mama's, when President Trump was speaking... there was a calmness and assurance in his voice and on his face, that our country would be over this soon and he continued with facts not FEAR. People can hate or dislike him if they want, but he's continually done his best to not cause fear and to remind people of the importance of prayer and God in the middle of all of this; he has not endorsed or recommended panic buying; he continually has said that there is no shortage of food in the U.S., so only buy what you need. (It just reminds me of how the Lord can tell us His promises over and over, but we continue listening to the enemy's lies and feeding off them, tuning out the good God is trying to pour into our lives.)
*The cameras pan back to anyone else speaking for the news, and you see an instant tone of panic and fear (on their faces) and almost a solemn tone that chants of "death, death, death, die, die, die"... no wonder the country has followed suit with panic buying, etc. I know a virus pandemic is serious, and taking the recommended precautions are needed (yes, I'm staying at home), but I also know according to God's word, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue".
*I watch very little news, because I choose to believe 'what thus saith the Lord of hosts'. If people could tune out the agony (again, I know that it is a serious virus and people have died, but sometimes a child calms just at the sound of a parents tone changing when they speak in the middle of something upsetting) being spoken for just one day, step outside and let God fill you with His perfect peace that passes all understanding and allow yourself to see His beauty of creation, right there in the privacy of your own land, it could very well help get this country back in the mindset of where it needs to be: faith and wisdom, yes... fear and panic, no! ♡
