Speak Life!

On May 12th, 2019 on my way home from church that morning, God spoke these words to me, "speak life". Since that day He has taken me on a journey of learning to speak life again in the middle of tough situations. It's been a spiritual, emotional, and physical  battle the last 2 weeks but I've buckled down, stayed the course and kept pressing on. May 26th, 2019 I shared this word with the people at New Life Assembly of God. Through this blog, I share this word with you. If you're discouraged and in a hopeless state of despair, challenge yourself to begin speaking life this week. When you make speaking life a habit (like prayer, bible reading, church attendance, tithing or fasting), you will begin to see God at work all the time in your life. You will become more aware of His presence, goodness, mercy, grace, etc. Speaking life daily and refusing to entertain negative conversation helps build your trust in God, so that when trials come, your faith is strong and your trust becomes solid without doubt. I begin to feel better when I speak life and encouraging words, I notice my problems less because I shift my focus to the problem solver (God). I now stubbornly and bullheadedly believe in speaking life! I use to get so frustrated with the doubters, mockers, and scoffers because they didn't believe or see things like I did. This past week God spoke to me how maybe they weren't raised in church, they've haven't experienced healings and recovery from over 30 surgeries like you have, they've haven't felt the love of Me, they haven't experienced Me turning hopeless situations around, they maybe want to protect themselves and say it looks bad and not get their hopes up speaking life! Instead of frustration, I started feeling empathy for them and knowing that it is still my job to share the gospel, to speak life, to tell them even when it looks hopeless we still have a reason to SPEAK LIFE! I know when I wasn't speaking life, those "speak life" prayers from others is what brought me through. So, I challenge you to stand up and speak life, because when you're speaking life you're speaking God's word and not man's opinion.
