Too Desensitized!

There is so much power in prayer, but have we become so desensitized to prayer that we don't even comprehend there is power in it anymore? Have we decided there is not power in prayer anymore, because our prayers haven't been answered like we think they should be or in a timeframe we think they should be? It will take persistent prayer, faithful prayer, and genuine prayer to see the Hand of God move. When the enemy is doing his best to destroy things in your life; yourself, family, or church... you can become so desensitized to it or you can stand up and proclaim what thus says the Lord; "greater is He Who is me than he who is in the world". Not today or any day satan; you can't have me, my family, or my church! You can become so desensitized to the moving and operating of the Holy Spirit, that He's no longer moving in your life or the life of the church! But, in these bleak days were are living in, now is the time to pray and believe for that special, supernatural covering over your mind, the minds of your family, and the minds of your church. Now is not the time to push God away, but to push into Him closer! Over the last few weeks, I've had every reason to fall in and stay in a state of depression, I could've let the enemy drop a covering of anger or oppression over my mind, but I've positioned and prepared myself to stand up and fight for God's glory! Much clarity has come to my mind, and my heart breaks for those who have a claw of satan's spirits over their minds; those chokeholds and strongholds that only desire to keep someone's mind troubled with lies and anger of the enemy. I've been there more than once, in my 25 years of living for Christ, but someone(s) prayed me through. I want to do my best to not take it lightly and pray others through. God has not forgotten you, and you are loved. It seems like it has become so much easier to hold on to stuff of the enemy than to let go of it... but oh Lord, hold on to us! Hold on to me, to my family, and to my church! I'm fighting and praying for His glory!! 🙌❤

8.21.2022 - 8.24.2022 • A "reconnect and reset trip" to the Great Smoky Mountains with my dear friend of 10 years, Susan. We haven't got to visit and see each other in a long while. We talk over the phone some. In 2012, we met while attending the same church, and connected instantly. We've held each other up in prayer, encouraged each other in the Lord, cried and laughed together, and worshipped together, as sisters in Christ should. We belly laughed so much on our vacation until we were hurting and seeing stars. Why A Blog Titled: "Becoming Better Women"?

Back around the last week of October 2017, I had a dream about the acronym "BBW" standing for something profound! I was standing in a room full of women, some I knew and some I had never seen before in my life and I looked down at a piece of paper and it said in bold cursive writing, BBW =  "Becoming Better Women" . There were women of all shapes and sizes in this room, different ages and races, showing different emotions. Nothing was said in the dream but when I woke up I didn't forget about it. In fact, a couple of days later I text myself those three words, becoming better women. Not yet knowing what to do with it, what it meant exactly, but feeling very strongly the Lord gave it to me for a reason! I had no idea that a week later, after having this dream, I would end up in the hospital for what seemed to be the longest and most challenging 7 days of my life! We Prepare for Battle in Prayer!

Read Ephesians 6:10-18 The armor of God is vital to Christian belivers when it comes to our prayer life, overcoming spiritual warfare, and overcoming a lukewarm lifestyle. We can learn to become crucified in Christ so that the flesh part of us can resist the enemy's lies and temptations to sin. We can become transformed into a new person in Christ and no longer be enslaved to our old habits and sinful nature and attitude. We have daily choices to live accordingly to God's righteous standards and deny sin. We we choose God's desires for our life instead of sins, we crucify our flesh. Sin is only pleasurable for a season, and then it will turn on you like an unknown allergic reaction to a favorite food you ate.
