There is Purpose in this Season!
"There is purpose in this season and in trials"
DON’T LET SATAN STOP YOU WHEN SERVING CHRIST GETS TOUGH! Stand firm in Christ and still allow God to use you, even when times are tough, just as most pastors and teachers have been doing during this virus pandemic by offering online services and lessons.
Video lesson from 1 Thessalonians Chps. 2-3
A. Paul was having trials. He couldn't be with the church, because of fleeing from persecution.
1. He didn't quit. He sent his brother in Christ, Timothy, to speak on his behalf. He wrote letters to the church.
2. Now, even during this trial of social distancing, let's continue to make an effort to minister to each other.
B. Paul expected to have trials.
1. Every aspect of our lives will have trials.
2. We shouldn't expect that our service for Christ would be any different; we're serving in a world incompatible with Christ.
C. If satan is successful in stopping us with tough times, it frees him up to work on those God has placed in our path to minister to.
1. In this lesson, the Thessalonian church for Paul.
2. That's why I'm being obedient in using my facebook as a ministry tool. Through videos and written posts.
D. Satan’s strategy is to “unsettle” us.
1. If Paul allowed his circumstances to stop him, then satan was free to attack the church directly.
2. We should follow Paul's example during this time.
*Note: I made an error in the video lesson by accident, and I wanted to correct it. It's so easy to get bible stories and people mixed up sometimes. Anyway, I referred to angel being sent to set Paul and Silas free from jail, from Acts 16. But that was an earthquake that shook the walls lose to lead to their release. They did lead the jail guard (watchman) to Christ. An angel was sent to free Peter from jail in Acts 12.
