Spiritual Tug of War!

You are the “rope” in a spiritual tug of war! On one end, satan and his demons are pulling you toward hell, using everything in their bag of tricks to keep you from walking in obedience to God. On the other end, God is working for your good to draw you to Himself, while at the same time respecting your free will. **The tug of war between God and Satan is for YOUR SOUL!** The demons, as they always do, are exploiting the fact that God has given you a free will. They stop at nothing to disrupt, discourage, distract, and deflect you away from allowing God to be the Lord of your life. Tug of war isn't an easy game, especially if you're caught in the middle. But to successfully win a tug of war game, you need the right people on your side; the Spiritually strong ones. See satan and his team can try and memic what God and His team does, but in the end God will win the tug of war. No one said being a Christian is an easy life; you continually have to pray for wisdom and knowledge to decipher if it is really God and not the devil disguising himself. Believe me, satan will set traps, and we are quick to fall right in them, then it takes what seems forever to get back up and out of the trap. [Insert: Really because of our stubborn pride, our humaness, our pity party, our desire to think it is just easier to walk around unhappy, upset, hurt, bitter, angry 24/7]. Or in the case of tug of war, up back off the ground or out of the mud pit. Everyday I continue to live this side of glory, mistakes can be made, hurt and pain comes, disappointments, etc. But the Lord is always there tugging me back to His team, but each time more stronger, wiser, joyful, forgiven and forgiving, knowing that I am on the side that will ultimately win the tug of war... in which I am taken to this verse of Scripture each time: Psalm 40:2 "He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand."

8.21.2022 - 8.24.2022 • A "reconnect and reset trip" to the Great Smoky Mountains with my dear friend of 10 years, Susan. We haven't got to visit and see each other in a long while. We talk over the phone some. In 2012, we met while attending the same church, and connected instantly. We've held each other up in prayer, encouraged each other in the Lord, cried and laughed together, and worshipped together, as sisters in Christ should. We belly laughed so much on our vacation until we were hurting and seeing stars. Why A Blog Titled: "Becoming Better Women"?

Back around the last week of October 2017, I had a dream about the acronym "BBW" standing for something profound! I was standing in a room full of women, some I knew and some I had never seen before in my life and I looked down at a piece of paper and it said in bold cursive writing, BBW =  "Becoming Better Women" . There were women of all shapes and sizes in this room, different ages and races, showing different emotions. Nothing was said in the dream but when I woke up I didn't forget about it. In fact, a couple of days later I text myself those three words, becoming better women. Not yet knowing what to do with it, what it meant exactly, but feeling very strongly the Lord gave it to me for a reason! I had no idea that a week later, after having this dream, I would end up in the hospital for what seemed to be the longest and most challenging 7 days of my life! We Prepare for Battle in Prayer!

Read Ephesians 6:10-18 The armor of God is vital to Christian belivers when it comes to our prayer life, overcoming spiritual warfare, and overcoming a lukewarm lifestyle. We can learn to become crucified in Christ so that the flesh part of us can resist the enemy's lies and temptations to sin. We can become transformed into a new person in Christ and no longer be enslaved to our old habits and sinful nature and attitude. We have daily choices to live accordingly to God's righteous standards and deny sin. We we choose God's desires for our life instead of sins, we crucify our flesh.
