Focus and Surrender!

As I come out of a time of prayer, this is what God spoke to my heart. We are in an hour where there not only needs to be a focus shift back to Him... there also needs to be a surrendering it all to Him taking place. One of my favorite hymns is "I surrender all"... 'all to thee my blessed Savior, I surrender all'. So what does it mean to SURRENDER to God?! It means trusting the process He's taking you through, it means trusting God’s timing not knowing when it will come. It means expecting a miracle not knowing how God will provide it. It means fully knowing that God will protect His chosen and suppress the enemy. It means coming to the feet of Jesus every single day and saying “I trust you.” Even though it might be hard to believe right now, this is all part of a perfect plan. It may seem like a disaster, but God can turn it into something beautiful. Right now, it's foggy in front of you, and you can't see clearly... you're frustrated... you're exhausted... you're numb... but lean on Him. Seek Him. Trust His will. Find comfort in knowing that you aren’t walking down this road alone. God is walking right beside you, and He is ready to carry your load just as soon as you make the choice to surrender it all to Him. When you surrender it to Him, you can go from crumbling in defeat from the enemy to conquering the enemy in victory!! Let God handle it and take complete control!!

Psalm 37:7 "Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him"... ♡ Matthew 11:28 "Come to Me, all you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

Joy Ahead!

"So be truly glad. There is wonderful JOY ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world." 1st Peter 1:6-7

*JUST HOLD ON AND DON'T GIVE UP. For JOY is soon to come.*

Still Standing Firm!

What's on my heart today?! "Because He lives, I can face tomorrow"... While the world is raging on, and the toughness of life continues to happen... all I can say is God has truly allowed me to experience FREEDOM from the feud and PEACE from the pain over the past year of my life! God begin to speak to me, the beginning of 2023, about where I should go to church next after a painful exit from my previous one the Fall of 2022. For 10 long months I was unsure about what to do or where to go?! I fought and clawed my way out of a very deep dark hole of not even wanting to go to church! God had to wait patiently on me, for me to realize that His desire for my life was not to be in toxicity. Our human frame of mind sometimes would rather wrestle with God's will for our life and remain in toxicity, then allow the blinders to be removed and see the much better plan God has for our life spiritually. Having to stand up for what God tells you to do isn't always easy, but it's sure worth it! Obedience to God is key!! I finally made that first step to go to church where I have been for over a year now, and I haven't looked back.

My 1st Sunday, at the new church, was August 20, 2023 and I wrote down and still remember the words that were spoken that day, "STAND FIRM"! We also sung, "Goodness of God" that day! I've continued to lean on that word and stand firm on what God told me, stand firm as I moved on to a new chapter of life, stand firm in my faith, stand firm despite tests/obstacles, stand firm through health battles, stand firm through battling depression/anxiety, stand firm as I continue to live in the goodness of God! No matter what's going on in life, we have to STAND FIRM, trust God, and hold to His unchanging hand. ❤️🙌

9:11!

One of the first clock times I looked at on my phone this morning and paid attention to was 9:11. As always, for years now, everyday I see that time whether it is AM or PM. Those weeks and days when I can't feel God's presence, or I am really just down and out, I see that time and it just reminds me that God is still there. It is something special between the Lord and I. And I always quote out loud Psalm 91:1, "He who dwells in the shelter of the most high will find rest in the shadow of the almighty!"

This morning it was even more special seeing it on the 23rd anniversary of 9/11. I just stared at it until the minute passed, thanking my God that even through that tragic day and years that have passed we can still praise God for His protection, for His shelter and rest He provides! Let us never forget!
