What Do You Think On!

We cannot control every thought that enters our mind, we have no control over the enemy's lies entering our minds, nor the temptations to sin. However, the sole responsibility as Christians, in each case, is to prevent those thoughts from settling when it does enter our minds... when you allow it to marinate in your mind, that's when it will overcome you instead of you overcoming it. That's when you will follow through with those bad thoughts, feed off of those lies, and give into those temptations and sin. Aa a Christian, it is vital to rebuke and take every bad thought captive as soon as it enters your mind, and cast it back to hell where it belongs. This verse has definitely been my go to regarding this matter. • Philippians 4:8 "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be...

God's Power!

"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind". 2 Timothy 1:7  *More than once since I committed this verse to memory, I have had to embrace it as truth and pray that I not give in to a "spirit of fear." The spirit of fear hinders what God has given us: His power, love, and sound mind. This fear grips us with doubts and insecurities and takes captive our thoughts and feelings. This kind of fear is not of God but of the enemy, the devil himself. Fear is one of the greatest weapons satan uses against us, as it attacks our minds. The enemy tells us that we are untalented, unacceptable, unworthy, unloved, unsafe, and useless. These thoughts affect us all, he picks on everyone, no one is spared because the devil is the father of all lies and the truth is not in him. How can we fight against such thoughts? By believing the truth of the second part of the verse. God, through His Holy Spirit, has given us power, love, and a sound m...

Resist the enemy!

Don't let the lies and mistakes of the past hold you hostage in the present. Don't let satan dictate who you are and how you are going to behave anymore. He may have pulled the wool over your eyes in the past. He may have gotten you to stumble and fall, but go to God and confess it. Deal with it. Ask forgiveness, repent and forget yesterday. Quit allowing the devil to mop up the floor with you and defeat your life. Resist the enemy's schemes, stand firm, stop doing the wrong thing and start doing the right thing today! I am preaching to me as well!

God needs our Focus!

God wants our best. God needs our focus. When you focus on the goodness of God in the midst of a world turned upside down... you'll see and feel the goodness of God... Jesus has never and will never leave us comfortless... He gave up His spirit at his very last breath that He took to ensure that wouldn't happen... His sweet Holy Spirit, who is literally the One who walks beside us to be our comforter and helpmate... even when the enemy hinders and distracts, I quickly remember his game and I get my focus back on God... the peace and calm returns... the Holy Spirit has reminded me to remind others that He's still here to comfort and guide. 🩷🙌
